Senior Manager, Finance at AltaGas

Take the lead in financial strategy with Alta Gas as the Senior Manager in Midstream Finance. This role emphasizes accounting analysis, process efficiencies, and cross-functional collaboration.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing Finance, you will oversee derivatives accounting and support commercial activities within the Midstream business unit. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying accounting issues, enhancing process efficiencies, and liaising with various departments. You are expected to present complex technical accounting memoranda and provide internal stakeholders with analysis summaries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee derivatives accounting, including settlements and MTM assessments

• Maintain accounting assessments for complex business transactions

• Review and present accounting memoranda for strategic objectives

• Advise on technical accounting issues with internal stakeholders

• Monitor corporate accounting policies and management metrics

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree and CPA required

• 12+ years in senior-level accounting/finance

• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP/IFRS

• Previous experience in public accounting preferred

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
