About the Role
We’re currently seeking Senior Actuarial Analysts.
What you’ll do here- Use your expertise to resolve complex problems and help colleagues do the same by sharing your actuarial knowledge.
- Work autonomously on challenging, strategic projects in areas such as rate making, reinsurance, corporate planning, data science, reserving and more.
- Drive change by improving work processes and making substantial observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Help guide and prioritize the team’s work and coach effectively to strengthen both individual and group success.
- Share the conclusions of your analysis with appropriate stakeholders and make recommendations within the established timelines.
- University degree or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
- Certifications in mathematics, actuarial, or ACAS preferred.
- Three or more years of actuarial experience, preferably in the P&C insurance sector.
- Good knowledge of Python, VBA, R, or SAS.
- Desirable competencies: adaptability, innovation, analytical thinking, decision making, critical thinking, stellar communication, planning and organizing, and team orientation.
- No Canadian work experience required; must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Salary range: 87,200 – 106,600 C$ (based on a 35‑hour week).
- Annual bonus target: up to 10% of base salary, with potential payout up to double the target.
- Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) with Intact matching 50% of net shares.
- Pension offerings, including a defined benefit plan.
