The Secretary Treasurer will directly report to the Superintendent and work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to manage the school's financial affairs. Key functions include overseeing budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance with Alberta Education mandates. Your efforts will ensure an organized financial framework that supports the academic mission of CGCS.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and monitor annual budgets for operations
• Present quarterly financial statements with analyses
• Ensure compliance with public sector financial standards
• Actively participate in the external audit process
• Support statutory payroll remittances accurately
Requirements:
• CPA designation preferred for candidates
• Relevant experience in educational financial management
• Excellent organizational skills combined with attention to detail
• Understanding Alberta Education's financial expectations
• Strong ability to foster a collaborative work environment
