Our energy & resources client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (10+ years) to manage asset accounting and month-end close processes using SAP within the oil and gas sector

Contract, Calgary, 5 days a week on site.

Must Haves

• CPA designation with proven background in financial analysis and asset accounting
• Advanced SAP experience supporting month-end close and budget cycle processes
• 10+ years in asset accounting and financial analysis within oil & gas operations
• Strong command of IFRS and SOX compliance requirements
• Advanced MS Office Suite proficiency for reporting and reconciliation

Nice to Have

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional finance teams
• Prior involvement in capital project accounting

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close and asset accounting within SAP
• Coordinate budget preparation and forecasting cycles
• Analyze financial statements and variances for accuracy and compliance
• Support reporting activities across multiple oil and gas business units
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of accounting schedules and reconciliations
