Financial Accountant

Invico Capital Corporation ("Invico") is an award‑winning investment fund management firm based in Calgary, AB, providing alternative investing and financing solutions in North America. The firm has over $4 billion of assets under administration that offers a range of energy, syndicated credit, yield, secondaries, and real estate financing solutions that assist corporations in pursuing strategic acquisitions, financing capital expenditures and growth programs, and supporting working capital requirements.

We are currently looking for a Financial Accountant. As a key member of the accounting team, the successful candidate will have a keen interest in accounting, be technically proficient, and flexible with taking on, learning, and adjusting to all new tasks assigned by the Leadership Team.

• Work on the full cycle accounting of funds under management, including quarterly fund reporting
• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for fair value estimates, financial statements and tax returns
• Monitor accounts receivable balances and payments received
• Monitor accounts payable balances and payments made
• Prepare journal entries for fund‑investor transactions
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Other duties as required

• University degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong background in IFRS and implementation of applicable policies
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and have excellent organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Advanced use of MS Excel and knowledgeable in MS Word

• Fund accounting experience
• Oil and gas accounting experience
• Familiarity with Oracle Net Suite software
