Hybrid | Calgary Your Newpany Hays Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a leading organization to hire a Auditor for a long-term contract. This opportunity sits within the Corporate Accounting team and offers exposure toplex financial reporting, treasury-related accounting, and intepany transactions. You’ll be joining a collaborative and detail-oriented team where accuracy, analytical thinking, and strongmunication are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly variance reports related to interest ie and other financial metrics

Record quarterly accounting entries for restricted investments

Manage quarterly and annual accounting for insurance captive structures and insurance programs

Prepare Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) and financial statement note disclosures for interest ie and foreign exchange

Perform intepany and inter-affiliate settlement processes

Collaborate with Finance, Corporate Accounting team members, and IS teams on SAP testing (intepany, external loan setups, treasury derivatives)

Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting requests, and special projects as required

Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting processes and documentation

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience

Undergraduate degree inmerce, Business, or a related discipline

Professional accounting designation (CPA required; CGA/CMA acceptable equivalents)

Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles

Knowledge of consolidation accounting and financial statement presentation, including US GAAP

Experience working with multiple functional currencies

Strong working knowledge of SAP (ECC and BPC preferred)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail

Strong written and verbalmunication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels

Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
