Position Summary
As the Accounting and Collections Assistant, you will support the accounting team by maintaining accurate loan records and ensure timely repayment, processing, and managing proactive collection follow‑ups.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, organizational and communication skills. You will fit in seamlessly in a fast‑paced environment, be able to quickly learn processes and adapt to new regulations.

You possess a continuous improvement mindset with a knack for developing processes while contributing positively as a collaborative team member.

Responsibilities

Monitor loan repayments and follow up on outstanding balances

Support collections activities and repayment arrangements

Maintain accurate financial and loan records

Post payments and assist with reconciliations

Support month‑end and year‑end accounting processes

Respond to customer account inquiries

Assist with reporting, documentation, and process improvements

Collaborate with internal teams to support daily operations

Qualifications

Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred

Experience in collections, accounting, accounts receivable, or reconciliations

Understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation

Demonstrated accuracy working with financial information

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Strong communication and customer service abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Experience working with financial or loan management systems considered an asset
