Financial Analyst

Position: AltaGas Financial Analyst Role
Join Alta Gas as a Financial Analyst, specializing in external disclosure and financial statement preparation. This role demands attention to detail and robust accounting expertise.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of External Reporting, you'll manage the preparation of crucial documents such as consolidated financial statements and MD&A. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with 3-5 years of accounting experience, well-versed in U.S. GAAP, and proficient in Excel to enhance financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to consolidated financial statements and MD&A preparation

• Document complex accounting issues effectively

• Support quarterly and annual reporting processes

• Liaise with auditors and stakeholders to facilitate communication

• Enhance financial reporting processes and internal controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

• CPA certification required

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting

• Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Oracle, JDE)

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
