This full-time role within Capital Power’s Congestion Team offers the chance to report directly to the Head Trader. You will play a crucial role in optimizing the trading portfolio while collaborating with various teams to enhance risk management and market strategies. Ideal candidates should have strong quantitative skills aligned with commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement long-term congestion strategies

• Support congestion exposure management for the generation portfolio

• Liaise with Risk and Credit teams for coordinated strategies

• Collaborate with trading teams to identify market opportunities

• Report exposure and P&L insights to management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field

• 5+ years in energy trading or analytics

• Robust communication and problem-solving abilities

• Proficient in Excel, SQL, and Python

• Knowledge of ETRM systems and industry modelling tools
