Job DescriptionTD Wealth seeks an experienced financial planner to help mass‑affluent clients achieve their financial goals. You will build long‑term relationships, provide comprehensive financial planning, and drive business development.
- Identify clients’ life and financial goals and provide comprehensive reviews.
- Conduct reporting and relevant analysis, drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
- Contribute to team and department goals while strengthening customer service and dedication.
- Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency; implement continuous improvements.
- Stay current with best practices, procedures and emerging trends.
- Mentor and support others; share expertise and guidance.
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control in alignment with risk appetite.
- Participate fully as a team member and support a positive, service‑oriented work environment.
- University degree (preferred)
- 3 – 5 years of experience in financial services managing client relationships and providing tailored investment solutions (preferred)
- CIRO Registered Representative (RR) license within first 120 days in role
- Achieve Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within first 3 years in role
- CFP eligibility requirements:
University degree OR meet one of the following- Have been a QAFP professional in good standing for a minimum of 5 years at the time of applying
- Up to 10 years of qualifying work experience
- Passion for financial planning and a drive to help clients reach their financial & life goals.
- Entrepreneurial spirit to prospect external business development opportunities and experience in high‑value sales.
- Deep understanding of the industry, competitive landscape, economic market issues, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent people and problem‑solving skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong communication skills, able to work collaboratively and independently, and build relationships.
