About the Role
As ATB Wealth’s next Financial Advisor in our Wealth Advice Centre, you will be responsible for supporting new and existing clients through various digital channels, including inbound and outbound calls, video meetings, and email. You will uncover client needs, provide investment advice, deliver financial education, and source sales opportunities through internal partnerships and suitability conversations.
Accountabilities- Provide exceptional client experience and meet or exceed established sales targets.
- Be an expert in the benefits, features, and operational processes of the ATB Wealth Advice Centre including ATB Prosper and Group Wealth Services product offerings.
- Deliver expert financial advice and support to clients through a variety of digital channels in a timely manner.
- Adhere to the set working schedule built 5 weeks out in advance.
- Conduct robust client conversations to confirm product suitability and fulfill the regulatory duty of care.
- Evaluate product offerings relative to client needs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain a strong understanding of investment‑related regulations, sales processes, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements in order to adhere to the compliance code of conduct and respect the ethical values of the financial advisor role.
- Thorough knowledge of wealth management solutions and tools.
- Deep understanding of mutual fund products and the features of both registered and non‑registered investment accounts.
- Holistic approach to client discovery and analysis.
- Strong work ethic with an ability to stay focused during high volume and demanding circumstances.
- Effective relationship building, communication, and discovery skills through virtual means.
- Ability to embrace technology to maximize productivity and enhance processes.
- Independent work capability and aptitude for cross‑functional collaboration with teams.
- Growth mindset and data‑driven decision‑making focused on clients.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Completion of a two‑year college diploma (financial services) or bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 4 years of related wealth management experience is preferred.
- Immediate CIRO registration through one of the following:
- Currently a Registered Representative (RR) through CIRO, OR
- Actively enrolled in or completed the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) & Retail Securities Exam (RSE), OR
- Successfully passed the CFA Program Level I, OR
- Chartered Investment Manager Designation (CIM)
- Pursuing the QAFP or CFP certification is expected as part of this role.
- Ability to work shift work including Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
- Working knowledge of Sales Force and Dataphile considered a strong asset.
- Past work experience in a call center environment would also be an asset.
