Senior Real Estate Underwriter at ATB

Join ATB as a Senior Real Estate Underwriter, where you'll navigate complex transactions while working in a hybrid role. Make impactful credit recommendations and manage risk effectively across Alberta.

This temporary 12-month term position offers flexibility with one day per week on-site. You will be responsible for underwriting major commercial real estate and construction transactions, collaborating closely with Relationship Managers on strategic credit solutions. Your expertise in market trends, property valuations, and borrower health will help drive sound credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite high-quality credit applications for complex files

• Evaluate market trends to anticipate changes

• Review third-party reports for risk evaluation

• Conduct advanced real estate financial analysis

• Manage portfolio risk and compliance with lending policies

Requirements:

• 3 to 5+ years of commercial real estate underwriting experience

• Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business

• Expert knowledge of valuation and modeling

• Strong communication and storytelling skills

• Ability to work independently with high loan volumes
