Responsibilities Process client requests for new credit facilities, extensions, and amendments.
Complete annual and interim credit reviews, including industry and financial analysis of operating performance, cash flow, leverage, coverage, liquidity, and capital‑at‑risk calculations.
Monitor portfolio company performance against credit terms, identify changes in financial condition, and recommend actions.
Prepare presentation materials and relationship profitability assessments while liaising with other product and industry groups within BMO Capital Markets.
Conduct industry and company‑specific research and support ad‑hoc projects for senior management.
Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s degree program with a graduation date of December
2026 or Spring
2027.
Minimum GPA of 3.4/4.0 and at least two finance or accounting courses with grades of B or higher.
Outstanding academic achievement and peer recognition.
Demonstrated leadership experience in extracurricular activities.
Strong financial analysis and modeling skills; proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Detail‑oriented, fast learner, able to work with limited supervision, and adaptable to frequent market, system, and process changes.
Outgoing, personable, and a team player who can work effectively in small groups.
Knowledgeable in the principles of finance and financial markets.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
Previous banking or credit‑risk management experience preferred.
