- Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, providing guidance to department heads to align their financial plans with organizational objectives.
- Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis to identify trends and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring that the company maintains adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and the board of directors, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements, maintaining the integrity of the company's financial practices.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to provide actionable insights that drive business performance and strategic initiatives.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions, contributing financial expertise to support long-term business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations, including IFRS and GAAP.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with a track record of driving financial performance.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop finance professionals.
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the construction or engineering sectors, as Forsite operates within these industries.
- Familiarity with project management principles and their financial implications.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance issues relevant to the industry.
- Previous experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Bilingual abilities in English and French would be an asset.
