Position Overview
The Client Service Associate holds a pivotal position within the Kinsted Client Service team, providing the transactional, administrative, and CRM support that keeps client accounts accurate and Wealth Counsellors running smoothly.
The ideal candidate is well-rounded with strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience in the financial services industry and with investment products is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Client Transactions & Account Administration
Make deposits and withdrawals for clients.
Prepare new account applications and initiate and track transfers.
Data & Reporting
Produce and reconcile daily reports.
Maintain and update the client / contact CRM.
Liaise with the trading department and custodian (Aviso).
Client & Wealth Counsellor Support
Respond promptly to client inquiries & requests.
Prepare client meeting packages for the Wealth Counsellors.
Coordinate and maintain multiple calendars for Wealth Counsellors.
Operations Support
Assist with various operations projects as required.
Daily reports produced and reconciled accurately and on schedule, with discrepancies flagged the same day they're identified.
Transaction Processing
Deposits, withdrawals, new account applications, and transfers processed within established service timelines.
Minimize rework or corrections requested by Compliance and Operations.
Data Integrity
CRM records kept complete, accurate, and current.
Client Service Support
Same-day or next-business-day turnaround on client and Wealth Counsellor requests.
Zero missed follow-ups or outstanding service tasks beyond agreed timelines.
Meeting packages and calendars prepared accurately and ahead of scheduled meetings.
Behaviours, Skills, and Competencies
5+ years of client service experience in Investment Management or related field.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
Working knowledge of individual investment account types (RRSP, TFSA, Taxable, Corporate, etc.) is required.
Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize incoming tasks.
Strong teamwork-based approach and a passion for client service.
Proactive approach to client service and communication.
Bachelor's degree related to investments, economics, finance, is preferred.
Canadian Securities Course (CSC), achieved or in progress, is considered an asset.
