Position: Pastry Cook 2 (Full Time)

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PASTRY Cook 2 TO JOIN OUR CULINARY TEAM

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME IN THIS ROLE?
  • Genuine passion for pastry and baking, demonstrated through an eagerness to learn, creativity, and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Responsible for the production of all pastry and sweet items, including pastries, cakes, chocolates, breads, fruit compotes, amenities, and banquet desserts across all outlets.
  • Execute consistent, high‑quality production by reviewing recipes and preparing ingredients, assembling components, and cooking according to Hyatt culinary standards and specifications.
  • Support the Pastry Chef de Partie in developing specials, contributing ideas, and assisting in the creation and refinement of recipes.
  • Ensure full compliance with food‑safety standards, including proper handling, sanitation, temperature control, and HACCP documentation, while overseeing accurate storage, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
  • Actively contribute as a collaborative and engaged team member, supporting the department in achieving shared goals and maintaining a positive, professional work environment.
  • Maintain flexible availability to support efficient departmental scheduling and operational needs.
  • Possess valid work authorization for Canada.
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of two years of professional pastry experience within a restaurant, hotel, or bakery environment.
  • Culinary degree preferred, or equivalent hands‑on experience in a pastry, restaurant, hotel, or bakery setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in safely and efficiently operating a broad range of standard food‑service and pastry equipment.
  • Collaborative, engaged team player with a strong commitment to professional growth and a desire to advance within the department.
