Senior Events Manager
Managing, coordinating, and executing all details and aspects of the events and groups turned over by the Sales Department. The Senior Events Manager effectively and efficiently conveys all necessary information for each group and event to ensure the utmost customer satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities- Provide the highest levels of customer service to internal partners and external clients at all times.
- Deliver successful experiences for event planners and attendees with the goal of garnering both repeat and referral business.
- Respond in a quick, timely, and professional manner to all internal partners and external customers, delivering clear and concise communication that is representative of Concord Hospitality across all channels.
- Demonstrate excellent time‑management, self‑motivation, and organizational savvy with a keen focus on details.
- Prepare for and participate in all necessary internal meetings, conference calls, reporting, planning, and other communications required for this position.
- Prepare for and participate in client site visits, tasting panels, pre‑ and post‑event planning meetings, networking, and other customer‑centric meetings.
- Monitor and manage all aspects of the pre‑event, event, and post‑event details: track, detail, and communicate the particulars of each assigned event and group—including room blocks, meeting space, special concessions, group history, cut‑off dates, contract clauses, group resumes, event orders (BEOs), billing details, and other integral aspects.
- Forecast group rooms and F&B revenues and understand the conditions and strategies that maximize released space, rooms, and hotel revenues.
- Effectively upsell food & beverage to drive profitability and revenues for the hotel.
- Gain knowledge of the hotel’s food and beverage products, pricing and presentation; learn about the hotel’s function space, audio visual, and other details related to event success.
- Use digital sales systems (e.g., CI/TY, Lightspeed, MARSHA) to implement tools and resources that accomplish individual and team goals and efficiently complete job duties.
- Champion and drive event satisfaction, ensuring we exceed service deliverables and foster loyalty to the hotel and the brand.
- Attend customer functions as needed.
- Work in a unified, collaborative manner that fosters teamwork and an entrepreneurial spirit, making the best decisions for the hotel and achieving the team’s goals.
- Consistently meet the performance metrics required for this position.
- Minimum of three years of experience in an events manager role, preferably in hospitality, tourism, or a hotel environment.
- Graduate or degree holder in Hospitality, Tourism, or Events.
- Outstanding work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to safety.
- Proven record of achieving sales targets and successfully managing corporate, social, wedding, and group catering events.
- Strong knowledge of luxury hospitality standards, banquet operations, catering services, and event execution.
- Exceptional sales, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills with a strong focus on client satisfaction and revenue generation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to conduct client meetings, site tours, and event presentations.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple accounts, proposals, contracts, and event timelines simultaneously.
- Experience preparing catering contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), event resumes, and revenue forecasts.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
