Restaurants & Signature Events Manager

We are hiring a Restaurants & Signature Events Manager responsible for effectively monitoring the daily operations of the assigned outlets, supporting associates, and ensuring efficient operations and outstanding guest experiences. The role includes overseeing and conducting the hotel’s signature events, including Magic Table.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide the highest levels of customer service to guests and associates.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Operations Director with developing short- and long-term financial operational plans for assigned outlets.
  • Monitor performance through verification and analysis of customer service systems and financial reports.
  • Maintain exceptional service by fostering high staff morale and team spirit through active communication, training, and coaching.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations, investigate guest concerns, and implement corrective action to maintain product and service quality standards.
  • Adhere to budgetary guidelines for labour, productivity, revenue, and expenses.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Operations Director and Culinary team on promotions, menus, and special events to generate revenue.
  • Utilize wine expertise to recommend pairings and advise the F&B Director of Operations on new product offerings.
  • Emcee Magic Table and ensure all service standards for the event are consistently followed.
  • Monitor POS operations and cash handling procedures, coaching for accuracy as needed.
  • Perform administrative functions accurately and timely, including payroll and annual performance reviews.
  • Communicate with customers, address complaints, and collect feedback.
  • Execute high‑level service for VIP guests and special requests.
  • Complete and monitor F&B scheduling based on forecasted occupancy and reservations, reviewing daily staffing levels.
  • Lead during emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security issues.
Qualifications
  • Minimum four years of food & beverage leadership experience, responsible for more than one outlet.
  • Hospitality program graduate or degree holder.
  • Marriott brand experience.
  • Solid leadership skills, adept at training, coaching, and motivating a service team.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Proficient with PMS systems, specifically MICROS Opera.
  • Extensive wine knowledge with at least WSET Level 1 certification.
  • Experience leading and hosting signature immersive dining events such as Le Petit Chef or Magic Table.
  • Public speaking and/or dramatic performance skills.
  • Pro Serve certification and Alberta Food Safety Basics certificate.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance.
