Salary:
First 90 days: $23.10 per hour
After 90 days: $25.10 per hour
Reporting primarily to the Financial Controller, the incumbent will be responsible for administrative and clerical duties in addition to providing support to operational areas as required. We are looking for an extremely high‑energy individual with a "no job is too small" outlook. This is a unique opportunity for a hospitality‑career‑minded person to fast‑track their career by gaining valuable diverse experience across different hotel areas such as administration, marketing, social media, events, rooms operations, kitchen help, F&B operations and more.
Job Responsibilities- Provide administrative and clerical & personal assistance to the executive team and department managers.
- Assist in operational areas of the hotel as required, including housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage, housing and other related areas.
- Prepare letters, memos, reports and presentations as required.
- Publish the hotel's monthly newsletter.
- Assist in maintaining recognition boards and programs.
- Maintain current mailing and telephone lists.
- Act as secretary and maintain a key presence for departmental meetings.
- Summarize and track F&B and front‑office guest comment card programs.
- Handle all graphic design needs for F&B, resort fee & hotel activities, including menus.
- Assist in planning and advertising employee events and activities.
- Administer hotel’s internal communications pages.
- Manage all gift certificate and card issuances, redemptions and related tracking.
- Assemble handbooks, binders and information packages.
- Order and maintain sufficient stock of office supplies, including stationary.
- Update the hotel’s social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linked In).
- Perform other related duties as required by the general manager, hotel operations managers or department managers.
- Assist coordinators in other administrative areas with groups, events and other tasks as needed.
- Assist off‑site staff accommodation team as required.
- Energetic, flexible, hands‑on individual with a high level of initiative.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated, friendly and pleasant demeanor, reliable, courteous, and professional.
- A can‑do attitude toward helping out a variety of departments within the hotel.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and desktop publishing software including Canva and Publisher.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Previous administrative experience in a hospitality setting is an asset but not a must.
- Post‑secondary diploma or degree in a business or hospitality‑related discipline.
- Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
- Must already be authorized to work in Canada; work permit sponsor ships are not available.
