Valet Parking Attendant
We are hiring a Valet Parking Attendant to greet guests upon arrival and provide customer service excellence by parking and retrieving vehicles and assisting with luggage.
Key Responsibilities- Always provide the highest quality of service to guests and associates.
- Assume guests by opening doors and assisting with luggage or heavy items.
- Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist guests in entering and leaving the parking area.
- Collect and accurately label keys belonging to guests to ensure proper return.
- Park guests’ vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot, following all traffic laws.
- Operate vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Maintain lobby, front door, valet stand, and luggage room cleanliness and order.
- Market the entire hotel when rooming a guest.
- Maintain complete knowledge of hotel amenities and layout, local attractions, and airport transportation.
- Keep up to date on in‑house groups and functions.
- Issue proper luggage tags, store bags properly, and cross‑reference when issuing.
- Ensure deliveries/luggage are brought to correct rooms.
- Always demonstrate a readiness to help.
- Operate bell carts with care, so as not to damage property or cause injury.
- Able to accurately give directions and information regarding the immediate and metro areas.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures.
- Practice safety standards at all times, leading by example.
- Minimum one year of experience as a parking attendant in a similar operation or hotel property.
- Outstanding work ethic with a track record of reliability, punctuality, and an approachable demeanor; strong commitment to safety.
- Class 5 driver’s license and ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Exceptional problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
- Available for a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Physically able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch, and lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds or more.
