Coordinator, Operations - Catering

This position requires in-person collaboration up to five days a week. This arrangement is subject to change based on business requirements.

The Catering Coordinator serves as the 24/7 operational support for inflight catering within the Operations Control Centre (OCC). This role provides real-time monitoring, coordination, and decision support to ensure onboard catering services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational and guest experience standards across the network.

Acting as the primary liaison between internal operational teams and third‑party catering providers, the coordinator manages catering‑related disruptions, supports operational recovery efforts, and provides expert guidance during both day‑to‑day operations and irregular operations.

• Serve as the Operations Control Centre's catering subject matter expert, providing real-time operational guidance, risk assessments, and recommendations during both normal and disrupted operations.
• Manage catering‑related operational disruptions and recovery efforts, including shortages, delays, aircraft substitutions, diversions, cancellations, and service impacts, while balancing guest experience, operational performance and cost.
• Act as the primary liaison between network‑level decision makers and catering providers, communicating operational impacts, service adjustments, recovery plans, and escalation requirements across the network.
• Administer catering operational reporting and processes, including delay documentation and coding, review of catering‑related incident hazard reports, coordination of vendor investigations, and escalation of recurring issues.
• Drive operational excellence and compliance by investigating root causes of operational issues, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and ensuring adherence to airline policies, food safety regulations, aviation security requirements, and operational standards.

• 2-5 years of experience in airline operations, airport operations, inflight services, catering operations, or a related operational environment.
• Experience working in an Operations Control Centre, Network Operations Centre, or 24/7 operational environment is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of airline operational processes and disruption management.
• Knowledge of airline delay coding and operational performance reporting is an asset.

• Strong operational judgment, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while driving continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and respond effectively during operational disruptions.
