Position

Summary

This position serves as the first point of contact for onboarding/offboarding, supporting and resolving employee relations issues, implementing HR programs, policies, and procedures, training and development, and providing monthly and quarterly support for HR reporting and metrics. The HRG will be an employee-facing partner, regularly engaging with staff to provide guidance, answer questions, and support employee relations. Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.

Schedule:

Permanent, Full-time position, onsite 5 days a week

What you will do
  • Coach and advise Managers on complex and diverse employee and labour relations issues (i.e., performance management, attendance management, disability management, workplace investigations, employee exits), including compiling and preparing evidence to support appropriate recommendations.
  • Provide overall employee relations support to all staff inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Build effective relationships with internal clients to understand their business goals and proactively identify and implement solutions in line with their strategy.
  • Facilitate Human Resources training programs, including Progressive Discipline, Coaching for Performance, Supervisory Leadership, etc.
  • Responsible for all onboarding and orientation of new employees.
What You’ll Bring
  • 3-4 years of progressive Human Resource experience in the same or similar role
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Certificate in Human Resources, Industrial Relation or a related discipline
  • Flexibility to work across two different locations as required

  • Ability to work with senior leadership to implement effective change management processes
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality; ethical

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Canada Labour Code (CLC), Human Rights, Accommodation, etc.
