The position:As a Senior Human Resources Generalist
, reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations across our multi-location organization. This position is responsible for coordinating the employee life cycle, managing employee relations matters, administering leaves and disability processes, and supporting benefits and compliance activities.
This role serves as a senior operational resource within Human Resources, helping ensure continuity, consistency, and timely resolution of employee matters across locations while working within established policies and practices.

- Support Employee Relations and Investigations:
Manage employee concerns, assist with workplace investigations, and guide managers on performance management and progressive discipline. - Administer Leaves, Disability, and Return-to-Work:
Coordinate leave of absence processes, disability claims, and modified return-to-work plans in collaboration with employees, leaders, and external providers. - Coordinate Benefits Administration:
Support day-to-day benefits processes, resolve escalated inquiries, and assist with enrollments and employee communication. - Ensure Compliance and Accurate Records:
Maintain compliant HR documentation and ensure alignment with employment standards, human rights legislation, and company policy. - Provide Operational HR Support Across Locations:
Deliver consistent HR guidance, support HR programs and reporting, and contribute to continuity within the HR function.
- Progressive HR
Experience:
7–10 years of Human Resources experience in a generalist or operational HR role. - Employee Relations and Leave Management Expertise:
Strong practical experience managing employee relations matters, disability and leave administration, and compliance requirements. - Legislative Knowledge:
Working knowledge of Alberta and Saskatchewan employment standards and human rights legislation. - Professional Judgment and Confidentiality:
Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism. - Communication and Organizational
Skills:
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and time-management abilities with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- Professional Designation:
CPHR designation or active pursuit is considered an asset.
This is a full-time position requiring availability Monday to Friday. This role is 100%
onsite in Calgary, and regular in-office attendance is required; remote work is not available for this position.
