The People & Culture Business Partner plays a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. As a Strategic People & Culture Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing strategic HR guidance and support to drive organizational success.
The working hours for this role are currently Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 5 PM, with the possibility of weekend work. As our site ramps up and grows with time, the working schedule and hours may be subject to change.
Responsibilities- Develop strategic relationships with business partners by building trust and influencing business decisions.
- Understand business goals and design/implement new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements.
- Lead change initiatives, guiding and supporting managers and employees for smooth transitions.
- Manage full‑cycle People programs (onboarding, performance management, organizational design, benefits, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, offboarding).
- Partner with leaders to identify talent gaps, develop succession plans, and implement talent development programs.
- Identify opportunities to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, proactively updating policies.
- Lead or participate in People projects and initiatives, ensuring timely completion.
- Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development planning.
- Root cause issues using data, consulting with the business on decision impacts.
- Accountable for key People metrics such as engagement, turnover, attrition.
- Monitor pulse of employees to maintain high engagement.
- Provide guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, addressing employee relations issues fairly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role.
- Experience supporting an hourly population, ideally within manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and related legislation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coaching and conflict resolution skills with experience in workplace investigations.
- Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Sound judgment, ethical conduct, and respect for diversity.
- Team player with strong prioritization, time management, and organization skills.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing, high‑pressure environment with ambiguity.
- Commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
- Experience with Google Suite and HR tools (HRIS, ATS, scheduling/time‑tracking);
Workday experience is an asset.
