Permanent Full Time – 38.75 hours per week

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:15 pm with flexibility required, according to business needs

Position Summary:

Covenant Care and Covenant Living is seeking a Human Resources Manager who leads with integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to supporting people and organizational success. This role is ideal for a values‑driven HR professional who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about coaching leaders, strengthening workplace culture, and supporting positive employee and labour relations.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for advising, coaching, and supporting leaders across all aspects of human resource management, including talent acquisition and retention, employee and labour relations, performance management, attendance management, disability and return-to-work processes, and policy interpretation and development. The Human Resources Manager plays a key role in strengthening the HR function and serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, supporting the development of engaged, high‑performing teams.

This position requires a strong foundation in employee and labour relations, experience working in unionized environments, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a dynamic and complex workplace.

This role operates with a high degree of independence and requires strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex and sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.

The Human Resources Manager will:

  • Model the organization’s mission, vision, and values, consistently representing Covenant professionally and positively
  • Collaborate effectively as a professional team player, supporting the achievement of Covenant’s mission, vision, and values
  • Engage and mobilize leaders and teams to fulfill Covenant’s mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives

  • Advise, coach, and support leaders in performance management, attendance management, and employee and labour relations matters
  • Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of collective agreements, employment legislation, policies, and procedures
