MCG Careers has provided services to unemployed Albertans since 1989. We utilize current career development techniques to assist individuals with successful employment preparation, job placement, training on the job, workshops, and skill training programs.
MCG Careers is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Downtown Calgary team as a Job Developer.

What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in relationship‑building with employers, community partners, and clients
- Comfort engaging with new employers through outreach, networking, and friendly cold calls
- Ability to support clients through career planning, job search guidance, and case management
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with team members and community stakeholders
- Computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems (Mobius/TRF experience is an asset)
- Training or education in career development, human services, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in job placement
- Understanding of the local labour market and current hiring trends
- Experience with the construction industry is an asset
- Experience or interest in social media outreach, event coordination, and promoting programs
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
What You’ll Do:
- Build meaningful employer relationships to create job opportunities for clients
- Support clients through individualized employment plans, coaching, and job search strategies
- Match clients to suitable employment based on strengths, goals, and employer needs
- Connect regularly with employers to monitor progress, gather feedback, and celebrate success
- Represent the program at community events, job fairs, and networking functions
- Collaborate with the team to identify labour market trends and support program growth
- Help create a positive, energetic, client‑centered environment
Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Experience: Job Placement: 2 years (required)
License/Certification: Class 5 or higher license and access to a reliable vehicle (required)
