Senior Global Benefits & Leaves Specialist
As a senior member of the Total Rewards team, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global leave programs across ten-plus countries. You will translate regulatory complexity into stakeholder‑friendly solutions, integrate them with Workday and payroll, and build the infrastructure needed for a builder‑oriented, high‑autonomy role.
Responsibilities Global Leave Philosophy- Design a globally consistent leave philosophy aligned with Clio’s values and total rewards strategy.
- Present the philosophy framework to senior leadership and secure approval.
- Define guiding principles for equity, compliance, and employee experience across geographies.
- Benchmark leave programs against market comparators in all operating countries.
- Benchmark and design leave entitlements for 10+ countries, ensuring competitiveness and local compliance.
- Redesign or build leave types: STD/LTD, parental, maternity/paternity, adoption, flexible/unlimited vacation, sick leave, medical accommodations, bereavement, jury duty, and other statutory obligations.
- Collaborate with Legal, People Business Partners, and Payroll to validate compliance in Canada, US, UK, Ireland, Australia, Spain, and LATAM.
- Manage vendor and insurer relationships relevant to leave and disability programs.
- Partner with the HRIS team to integrate leave programs with Workday and payroll.
- Develop employee‑facing resources, manager toolkits, and intake processes.
- Train People Business Partners and managers on leave administration.
- Build audit and compliance monitoring mechanisms to keep programs current.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex leave and accommodation cases.
- 5+ years of direct experience in global leaves, absence management, or disability programs.
- Deep knowledge of leave‑related regulations across multiple jurisdictions, particularly US and Canada.
- Proven ability to plan, lead, and own major projects end‑to‑end with minimal oversight.
- Experience designing or significantly restructuring leave programs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence across functions.
- CEBS, GBA, or equivalent designation is an asset.
- Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, builder environment with constant change.
- Competitive salary within the $89,300‑$120,700 CAD range, with regional adjustments.
