Calgary Co-op seeks a Benefits Specialist skilled in employee support throughout their benefits experience. Bring your detail-oriented approach to our dynamic Human Resources team.
In this role, you’ll manage all aspects of group benefits and leaves of absence. Utilizing your strong communication skills and empathy, you will aid employees in understanding their entitlements. Your expertise will be crucial in administering benefit plans, monitoring compliance, and fostering partnerships with wellness teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer group benefits, pension plans, and leaves
• Liaise with benefit providers and internal teams
• Conduct audits and prepare compliance reports
• Educate employees and managers on benefits
• Support return-to-work and disability management programs
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years in benefits administration
• Strong customer orientation with exceptional service skills
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud HRIS or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail and data management
• Experience in a unionized environment is a plus
