HR Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee key organizational and staffing initiatives, provide strategic input on people and culture programs, and manage day-to-day HR operations. This role will support the Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver offices and play an important part in fostering a positive and effective workplace culture.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for administrative staff.
• Lead and coordinate annual performance reviews and employee development initiatives.
• Develop and administer competitive benefit programs and support salary benchmarking relevant to the Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver legal markets.
• Serve as the primary HR advisor to the leadership team on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and workplace culture.
• Ensure HR policies and practices comply with applicable employment standards and legislation in each jurisdiction.
• Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide additional HR and administrative support as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably with leadership or management responsibilities.
• Experience working in a professional office environment; experience within a legal or professional services setting is an asset.
• Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources or a related field.
• CPHR designation or equivalent is considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices across multiple Canadian jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
