They are currently seeking a talented Insurance Litigation Associate to join their Calgary team. The firm is known for its client-focused approach and innovative legal solutions across a wide range of services.

In this position, you will collaborate with a team handling insurance defense, product liability, regulatory matters, and commercial litigation. You’ll be assisting with high-profile accounts, while gaining exposure to all aspects of litigation, including providing legal counsel, conducting examinations for discovery, and participating in mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals.

Responsibilities:

• Providing legal analysis and guidance on litigation matters, specializing in insurance defense, product liability, and construction-related claims
• Handling insurance coverage issues such as municipal liability, police liability, occupier’s liability, liquor liability, property insurance, and product liability
• Managing relationships with insurers and insureds and reviewing documents for litigation preparation
• Mentoring junior lawyers and supporting their professional growth
• Participating in events for business development and professional networking

Qualifications:

• Admitted to the Alberta Bar
• 3+ years of experience in Insurance Defense Litigation
• Experience with product liability and regulatory issues
• Strong writing, analytical, and trial skills
• Ability to manage cases independently
• Note:
  
  role is not focused in MVA, slip and fall, or trip and fall cases
• Work alongside a team of roughly 10 lawyers/partners
