Our client is a leading, progressive business law firm with offices across Canada. An exciting opportunity currently exists to join the firm’s national team as Director, Professional Resources. Based in Vancouver, the successful candidate will support both the Vancouver and Calgary offices for associate and law student programs.

This is an exciting chance to operate at the intersection of talent management and technology in shaping the future of legal talent. Our client is committed to being at the forefront of using generative AI and other innovations to create efficiencies, elevate production and enhance the lawyer experience. As Director, Professional Resources you will drive this agenda forward, leveraging technology to improve program delivery and operational effectiveness.

• Drive the agenda at the intersection of talent management and technology to improve program delivery and operational effectiveness for the firm’s professional resources.
• Leverage generative AI and other innovations to create efficiencies and enhance the lawyer experience.

• Current or previously practicing lawyer, or a minimum of three years experience in talent management, professional development or human resources in a large Canadian law firm or professional services environment.
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about technological innovation in the practice of law.
• Proven leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Genuine commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
