Position: Associate Lawyer - Labour & Employment (Junior to Mid-Level Position)

Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and confident junior to mid-level Labour & Employment Associate to join their esteemed Calgary team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a vibrant practice while collaborating with some of the industry’s leading professionals.

Qualifications and Attributes
  • 2-5 (2025 - 2021) years of post-call experience in labour and employment law from a reputable national, regional, or boutique firm.
  • Experience advising and representing employers on various employment and labour law matters, including corporate transactions and reorganizations.
  • Experience with labour arbitrations and/or administrative tribunals is an asset.
  • Proficient in drafting and negotiating employment contracts, with knowledge of executive compensation, workers’ compensation, pay equity, and employment equity.
  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety prosecutions, human rights issues, employment standards, privacy matters, terminations, layoffs, and workplace investigations.
  • Strong communication and drafting skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Qualified to practice law in Canada.
