About the Company
An established Real Estate Software company located in Toronto and Calgary is seeking a Residential Real Estate Law Clerk to join their team in their Calgary office.
About the Role
- Manage residential real estate files from opening through to closing
- Handle file types including sales, purchases, mortgages/refinances, lender-only, ILA, and ILR files
- Review purchase contracts, mortgage instructions, and title documentation
- Prepare Statements of Adjustments, Statements of Account, Trust Ledgers, and closing documents
- Coordinate client signing appointments and ensure documents are properly executed
- Communicate with clients, lawyers, lenders, realtors, and partners in a professional and timely manner
- Request and manage lender funding and client funds
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files in conveyancing and document management systems (e.g., Resolve)
- Notify accounting of trust ledger status in accordance with closing timelines
- Provide closing confirmations and final reports to clients and partners
- 3+ years of experience in Alberta real estate conveyancing or a legal support role is an asset (not required)
- Familiarity with conveyancing software (e.g., Resolve), RPRs, Estoppels, and trust accounting is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
