We’re looking for a Vice President of Sales in the building materials industry.

Our client is a leader in the building materials space, delivering high-quality products and solutions across North America. With a strong focus on service, innovation, and long-term partnerships, this organization values integrity, team success, and forward-thinking strategies. The Vice President of Sales will play a critical role in accelerating growth across Canada and the U.S. by leading strategic sales efforts and building lasting client relationships.

Vice President of Sales responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a national sales team across Canadian and U.S. markets
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue and expand market share
  • Mentor and coach sales leaders and representatives to ensure continuous improvement and results
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities aligned with company goals
  • Cultivate and manage key client relationships and negotiate high-value contracts
  • Collaborate with internal departments to optimize the customer experience and streamline operations
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and key networking opportunities
  • The successful candidate has:
  • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a proven track record in driving growth
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (MBA preferred but not required)
  • Experience managing cross-border teams and client relationships (Canada and the U.S.)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
  • A deep understanding of CRM systems and sales reporting tools
  • Knowledge of the building materials, flooring, or construction (residential homes) industries is considered an asset
  • Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary is $150,000, plus generous bonus program (up to 60% target).
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.

  • $1,000 per month car allowance
