Housekeeping Supervisor

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments? As a Housekeeping Supervisor at Chartwell, you’ll lead a team that ensures our residence is a place residents are proud to call home. You’ll oversee cleaning schedules, supplies, and team performance while delivering excellent service to residents, families, and visitors.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise, schedule, and train housekeeping staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service
• Oversee cleaning routines for resident suites and shared areas
• Monitor supplies and source quality products while staying within budget
• Respond to resident and family concerns, escalating as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and confidentiality standards
• Participate in the Resident Council and support team collaboration
• Provide regular feedback to the General Manager on service quality and resident satisfaction

What You’ll Bring

• Secondary school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required
• Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, including hiring, training, and scheduling
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to lead by example
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
• Computer literacy and comfort with basic operational systems
• WHMIS, First Aid & CPR, and Occupational Health & Safety certification are assets
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team

Additional Requirements

• Must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting/carrying items
• Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations
• Comfortable using AI and other digital platform systems and tools to support daily work
