Position: Environment Manager at Burgundy Diamond Mines
Lead environmental compliance efforts with Burgundy Diamond Mines as the Environment Manager in Calgary. This full-time role oversees a diverse team while ensuring regulatory adherence at the Ekati Diamond Mine.

As the Environment Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Human Resources and guide Environment Advisors on Closure & Reclamation, Fisheries & Aquatics, Wildlife, and Operations. Your leadership will ensure that all environmental permits and authorizations are secured and maintained, upholding the mining operations' compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of specialists focusing on environmental management

• Oversee permitting processes for new and ongoing projects

• Develop detailed site Water Licenses and Land Use Permits

• Manage deadlines and budgets for environmental compliance

• Coordinate with Indigenous groups and regulatory agencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering

• 7-10 years of project experience in the Northwest Territories

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience

• Knowledge of environmental compliance regulations

• Proven operational and strategic oversight skills
