Position Type & Schedule
Full time with seasonal fluctuations – expect to be busier during spring/fall season changes, and slightly less in the middle of summer and winter. All start times 6:30AM or slightly later, depending on operational needs. Summer is Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, Winter is on-call – we work when Mother Nature says we do!
The RoleThe Field Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a landscaping crew division to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery. This role serves as the primary point of contact for the team of around 10 people, ensuring that tasks are completed safely, on time, and to the company’s standards while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

- Morning Rollout:
Schedule and deploy crews via Slack; deliver daily/weekly tailgate talks outlining the safety and operational gameplan. - Crew Support:
Review PDF schedules with Crew Leads, coaching on equipment, time goals, and priorities. - Zone Support:
Fill in for an absent Crew Leader or manage casual staff; spot‑check truck inspections. - Winter Operations:
Conduct and coordinate Snowfall Reports (5:00 AM checks); perform or delegate roadway gravel/salt operations. - Asset Management:
Oversee equipment/material transport; prioritize repairs with the shop and prevent equipment misuse.
- Daily Reporting:
Approve timesheets and input data into KPI sheets by 10:30 AM. - Huddles:
Lead the daily Zone Huddle and attend the 11:00 AM Regional Huddle. - AM Alignment:
Lead a daily call with the Regional Manager to review weather, staffing, and prioritize sites with customer concerns. - Tech Usage:
Use LMN, Slack, and Ninety.io to log progress, issues, and track "Quarterly Rocks" and milestones.
- Accountability:
Hold Crew Leads accountable for quality, labor efficiency, and data reporting. - Training:
Provide onboarding, skill evaluations, and ensure completion of Greenius training checklists. - Employee Development:
Complete Quarterly Conversations with direct reports and build "Bench Strength" for the next line of leaders. - Quality Audits:
Perform daily site visits, conduct documented quality audits, and relay scores to crews. - Safety & Compliance:
Investigate field incidents (slip and falls, property damage); ensure PPE usage and perform Microshop/Fire Marshal inspections.
- Weekly:
Plan the following week’s work; update LMN calendars; restock C‑cans; attend weekly Production L10 and 1w1 with the Regional Manager. - Monthly/Quarterly:
Monitor snow pile locations for compliance; coordinate seasonal changeovers with the shop; execute the vision and strategy of leadership at the field level.
- Minimum of 3 years in landscaping or a similar field, with leadership experience preferred
- Clean Class 5 Drivers License and the ability to drive a truck and trailer
- Effective communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, complete daily reports to office and/or customers
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to lead and motivate a team

- Primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold)
- Requires physical labor, including lifting, bending, and using landscaping tools
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
- Work schedule may include early mornings, late evenings and occasional weekends based on contract or weather needs
