Water Business Group Manager, Western Canada – ( 189598 )

The Water Business Group Manager will lead the Western Canada Water Business Group, expanding and growing the water business in the regional marketplace, and driving strategic, geographic, and operational initiatives to meet client needs and company objectives.
Responsibilities- Partner with Canada’s Managing Director and Water Business Group Directors to develop, implement, and maintain effective area business group programs.
- Monitor area business group performance indicators and implement actions and process improvements as needed.
- Facilitate area teamwork, communication, and work-sharing between offices, business classes, management, and staff to maximize client satisfaction, company growth, and profitability.
- Build area business group capabilities through recruitment, mentoring, staff development and training.
- Prepare annual revenue forecasts and budgets, monitor performance, lead strategy implementation, and coordinate activities with company, regional, and local managers.
- Facilitate project management reviews and quality control reviews in cooperation with the professional services lead and the business class leads.
- Support development of strong client relationships and serve selectively as a key client manager.
- Partner with Business Development and Market Sector leads to develop and implement strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, production methods and standards within established goals.
- Monitor implementation of company policies and procedures, standards, quality assurance and risk management within the business group and area.
- Participate in development and implementation of company vision and direction as member of the area team and business group.
- Participate in business and community activities as a representative of HDR.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience.
- Degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years experience.
- Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams.
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
- Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.
- Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group directors, technical directors and marketing managers.
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee‑owned culture is a must.
