Position: Environmental Manager at Burgundy Diamond Mines
Join Burgundy Diamond Mines as an Environmental Manager in Calgary, Alberta. Lead a team while ensuring compliance for the Ekati Diamond Mine through effective environmental guidance and regulatory processes.

This full-time, partially remote role reports to the Head of Human Resources and involves managing a team of Environment Advisors. You will oversee permitting processes, develop application packages for licenses, and ensure compliance with regulations. Strong interaction with Indigenous groups and regulatory agencies is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to a team of Environment Advisors

• Lead permitting processes and ensure regulatory compliance

• Develop application packages for water licenses and permits

• Manage permitting deadlines, budgets, and reporting

• Ensure effective engagement with Indigenous groups and regulators

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Science or Engineering

• 7–10 years of experience in Northwest Territories regulation

• Minimum five years in a leadership role

• Strong understanding of environmental compliance

• Experience with environmental consultants for reporting
