Safety and Compliance Director Airports

Lead the charge in operational safety with Calgary Airport Authority as Director of Safety, Security, Compliance & Emergency Response. Spearhead regulatory compliance and manage emergency response programs.

This full-time, permanent position focuses on strategic leadership within Calgary’s aviation sector, ensuring the safety of both Calgary International and Springbank Airports. You will oversee crucial safety management systems and collaborate with regulatory bodies to enhance compliance. Your extensive experience in aviation safety will play a vital role in safeguarding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the Airport Operational Compliance & Assurance Program

• Develop and manage the Safety Management System

• Interface with Transport Canada on security matters

• Ensure effective contingency planning and training

• Advise executive leadership on compliance metrics

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline

• 10-15 years of safety management experience

• Minimum 5 years in senior leadership

• Familiarity with Canadian Aviation safety regulations

• Valid driver’s license required
