The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the effective utilization of resources and equipment to ensure the daily operations of the distribution warehouse are performed in a timely, accurate and safe manner.

- Meet departmental KPI’s and goals
- Provide strategic input for issues affecting the department.
- All customer changes to schedules are noted and shipping schedule is accurate.
- All SAP transactions pertaining to shipments (deliveries, PGIs) are performed in a timely manner.
- Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in warehouse functions
- Ensure all Receiving processes are properly carrier out, with high quality & performance
- Ensure accuracy of all SAP receipts are completed timely (within 24hrs) by the team
- Communicate Receiving Issue to Procurement team; actively resolve receiving issues
- Material Identification (Labeling) meets the defined standards
- Maintain accurate inventory levels in assigned areas of responsibility
- Assign, maintain and ensure stock locations are labelled correctly
- Ensure Materials are put away into their proper locations per the SAP ERP System
- Pick Materials as necessary to support efficient execution of Production Plan
- Where Applicable, ensure Production Orders Route Steps are confirmed timely & accurately
- Communicate Inventory discrepancies to Production & Inventory teams; work to quickly resolve inventory issues
- Supervise personnel scheduling of workload, breaks, lunches and vacations. Manage Leads as required
- Ensure warehouse personnel have all supplies needed to perform their jobs. Order supplies as needed
- Develop and implement warehouse work instructions, policies, and procedures
- Identify staffing needs, interview, hire and train staff and maintain a steady stream of qualified candidates
- Monitor and make improvements where necessary to warehouse performance
- Ensure that all warehouse personnel are trained in department procedures
- Review departmental errors and retrain when necessary
- Handle employee complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts
- Hold regular meetings with department staff
- Lead by example, evaluate departmental workload requirements and stay late when needed
- Enforce housekeeping standards
- Manage, develop and monitor the progress of personnel
- Provide input on employee performance reviews
- Identify and rectify safety concerns
- Other duties as needed
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
- Will require heavy work (lifting greater than 30 pounds). Ability to carry 50 lbs. for 100 feet unassisted.
- Machinery operation requires the use of safety PPE equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toe shoes, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted
- Regularly required to stand or sit and move about the facility. Ability to stand for 8 hours per day.
Experience & Education
- 3 years warehouse experience
- Forklift experience/training
- Experience with loading/unloading trucks
- High School Diploma/GED required
