Our client is seeking a Construction Risk Management Specialist IV to lead the implementation of an enterprise risk management framework across a diverse Major Projects portfolio. This 1-year contract role supports projects across liquids, gas, and utilities, and plays a key role in enabling informed, risk-based decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the effective implementation of the risk management framework, including risk identification, assessment, response, and ongoing monitoring and control.
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on risk management support to multiple project teams across a diversified portfolio.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain comprehensive project risk management plans.
  • Facilitate qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and ensure timely updates to project risk registers.
  • Deliver and coordinate risk management training sessions for key stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance in defining risk treatment strategies and developing appropriate mitigation and control plans.
  • Monitor risk response progress, track changes in risk status, and escalate risks as required.
  • Collaborate with project teams and project development groups to facilitate contingency planning sessions.
  • Support project managers in leading risk-based decision-making processes.
  • Lead constructability reviews and lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Travel up to 10% to project work sites as required.
What’s Needed / Qualifications
  • 8–15 years of progressive experience in project risk management, ideally within large or complex project environments.
  • Strong working experience with Deltek or equivalent project management and risk management software (required).
  • Demonstrated experience managing risk across multiple projects or portfolios.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, training sessions, and collaborative risk discussions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid work workplace with both in-office and remote collaboration.
  • This is a safety-sensitive role; a valid Driver’s Abstract is required.
