Join SAIT’s Environmental Health, Safety and Wellness team as an Emergency Management Advisor, committed to maintaining campus safety and well-being through strategic emergency planning.
This position involves developing and implementing SAIT's emergency preparedness and business continuity frameworks. You will assess current systems, develop necessary training, and manage resources to ensure comprehensive readiness. Your engagement with SAIT departments and external organizations is essential for effective emergency management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and operationalize emergency plans
• Support schools and departments with continuity strategies
• Manage Emergency Operations Centre functionalities
• Facilitate emergency response training and drills
• Develop evacuation and fire training programs
Requirements:
• Diploma in Emergency Management or relevant discipline
• Minimum five years of professional experience
• Expertise in emergency management principles
• Project management experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
Contribute to a safe campus environment by enhancing SAIT’s emergency management capability and promoting community resilience.
