Job DescriptionAramark Canada is seeking a Support Services Manager with experience in Food Services, Housekeeping and Laundry to oversee two Senior Living Healthcare Facilities in Calgary. The locations are 15 minutes apart, with occupancies of 60 and 74 beds. Reporting to the General Manager, the Support Services Manager will handle the food and facilities contract at the sites, including financial accountability and compliance with Aramark standards, regulatory agencies, and client requirements.
Job Responsibilities- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for residents, visitors, and employees.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
- Interact with Client Management and maintain effective client and customer relations at all levels, including conducting rounding and identifying service expansion opportunities.
- Provide overall direction and manage performance for all supervisors and front‑line employees, ensuring development, engagement, and compliance with HR policies.
- Direct, staff, and train the food service department on food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.
- Develop operational component forecasts and explain variances; responsible for component accounting functions.
- Order inventory, develop menus, and plan production.
- Maintain and verify employee work schedules via web‑based payroll tracking systems.
- Assist the Food Service Supervisor in ordering, inventory, menu development, and production planning.
- Monitor and verify accounting documentation through web‑based systems.
- Follow union seniority, scheduling standards, and financial projections.
- Develop and maintain a strong leadership team.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
- Basic housekeeping or full EVS experience is an asset.
- Experience with menu management, budgeting, and operating within assigned costs.
- Minimum 5+ years progressive experience managing operations with financial and operational responsibility.
- Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Effective verbal and written communication with clients, customers, and staff.
- P&L accountability and/or contract‑managed service experience is desirable.
- Management and leadership skills and ability to handle confidential information.
- Mandatory background check.
Bachelor’s preferred; minimum 5 years experience.
Benefits & CompensationSalary range: $60,000 – $75,000.
