Calgary Senior Wildlife Services Manager

Lead wildlife conservation initiatives at Vertex as a Senior Wildlife Technical Lead in Calgary or Edmonton. This hybrid role combines leadership, technical oversight, and project management in environmental consulting.

In this vital position, you will be responsible for broadening the reach of Vertex's biophysical consulting services in wildlife management across key sectors. Your expertise in regulatory processes and wildlife assessments will be critical as you oversee impactful projects and mentor a skilled team. This leadership role provides opportunities to strengthen client relationships in the energy and mining industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee wildlife-focused environmental projects and studies

• Provide technical guidance and signoff on project scopes

• Manage client communications and deliver project success

• Collaborate with regulatory and biophysical teams

• Support proposal development and strategic planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Wildlife Biology;
Master's preferred

• 12+ years of consulting experience in wildlife

• Active status as a P.Biol or R.P.Bio

• Strong communication and mentorship background

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
