Strategic Assistant General Manager ABP

Take a pivotal role with Alberta Beef Producers as the Assistant General Manager, where your leadership will shape operations and strategic initiatives. This position is integral to representing Alberta's cattle producers and driving a sustainable beef industry.

In this leadership role, you will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with the Executive Committee. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, governance support, and overseeing operations to align with the Board's objectives. Your leadership will cultivate a high-performing culture and ensure effective communication across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the General Manager on operational strategies

• Develop annual business plans aligned with Board objectives

• Support implementation of strategic initiatives and policies

• Lead staff development and mentoring programs

• Promote continuous improvement in organizational practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline

• 5+ years of leadership experience in agriculture

• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams

• Experience with governance structures and Boards

• Strong project management and communication skills
