Job Description

Red Dot Restoration is looking for a decisive, experienced, and highly motivated Emergency Restoration Manager to lead our Emergency Mitigation division. You will be the driving force behind our rapid-response team, ensuring that water, fire, mould, and storm damage claims are handled with technical precision, safety, and a focus on profitability.

As a key leader, you will oversee Project Managers, PMAs, and Mitigation Technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Your goal is to ensure every project is completed on time and within budget, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

Pay:

CA $80,000.00 - CA$ per year

Key Responsibilities 1. Operational & Financial Leadership
  • Daily Operations:
    Direct the daily functions of the Emergency Services division, ensuring rapid response times and optimized scheduling.
  • Resource Management:
    Strategically allocate personnel, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Financial Oversight:
    Monitor departmental revenue and job costing. Review estimates and approve expenditures to ensure the division hits its profitability targets.
  • KPI Management:
    Track and report on departmental KPIs, labor utilization, and equipment efficiency to drive operational improvements.
2. Project Oversight & Quality Assurance
  • Full Lifecycle Management:
    Oversee emergency projects from initial dispatch through to completion or the handover to the reconstruction team.
  • Technical Compliance:
    Conduct file audits and site inspections to ensure all work meets IICRC standards, company procedures, and insurance carrier requirements.
  • Documentation Excellence:
    Ensure all work authorizations, moisture logs, and daily updates are accurate, timely, and professionally documented.
  • Mentorship:
    Supervise and coach a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers and Technicians, conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Culture:
    Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that emphasizes accountability and professional growth.
  • Recruitment:
    Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and continuous technical training of new team members.
4. Health, Safety & Customer Service
  • Safety First:
    Promote a rigorous safety culture, ensuring full compliance with Alberta OH&S regulations and the proper use of PPE.
  • Client Relations:
    Act as the point of escalation for complex customer concerns, building trust with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and property managers.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Industry

    Experience:

    Minimum 5 years in property restoration, with a deep understanding of water, fire, mould, and environmental mitigation.
  • Leadership:
    Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Advanced knowledge of restoration software (Xactimate, Encircle, Dash, or similar) and standard office suites.
  • Communication:
    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical processes to non-technical clients.
  • Licensing:
    Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
Certifications
  • Highly Preferred:
    Applied Microbial Remediation (AMRT), Fire & Smoke Restoration (FSRT), and Asbestos Awareness/Worker certification.
  • Safety:
    Valid First Aid/CPR and a strong grasp of Alberta OH&S standards.
