About Us

Break Barriers. Employ Change.

Prospect helps people get jobs. We’re a not-for-profit and registered charity, so while the bottom line can’t be ignored, it’s not our priority. Clients are.

We welcome anyone who is looking for a better life through employment. We work with candidates who have degrees; we also work with people who are experiencing homelessness or experiencing a mental health condition or challenge. We can help upgrade clients’ skills; we can also work with an employer to help them understand a disability. Above all, we’re creative and resourceful.

Recognizing that not everyone learns in the same way, our methods include art and the great Alberta outdoors as tools. We help young and old, people changing industries, recent immigrants, veterans, people with disabilities, and everyday Albertans who feel that the job search process has become daunting. If that sounds good to you, let’s get to work!

What will you do?

  • Hold organizational accountability for sustaining and growing society membership and for the health of related stakeholder relationships.
  • Set direction for communication, stewardship, and participation within Society Membership, and advise leaders on relationship building practices that reflect Prospect’s mission and values.
  • Ensure Salesforce is used effectively to support accurate data, meaningful analysis, and reliable reporting across stakeholder groups.
  • Provide leadership and performance support to staff as assigned, and contribute to workforce planning for stakeholder engagement, volunteer, and peer support functions.
Volunteer Program Oversight
  • Lead Prospect’s volunteer program, with accountability for recruitment, onboarding, support, and overall quality of the volunteer experience.
  • Ensure volunteer practices are aligned with Prospect’s broader engagement approach and contribute meaningfully to programs, Society Membership, and community impact.
  • Use Salesforce to track volunteer activity, monitor engagement, and support clear reporting and insight into outcomes.
  • Provide regular reporting on volunteer participation and program contribution, and oversee volunteer recognition and engagement initiatives.
Peer Support Delivery
  • Coordinate and support the day‑to‑day delivery of peer support across programs in close partnership with Program Managers, ensuring capacity and coverage align with program needs.
  • Ensure peer support practices reflect ethical boundaries, confidentiality expectations, psychological safety, and lived experience values, and support consistency and quality across locations.
  • Maintain clear communication between peer support volunteers, program teams, and Program Managers, and contribute to continuous improvement in peer support delivery.
Stakeholder and Community Relationships
  • Serve as the primary relationship holder for Society Members, supporting engagement that is meaningful, well informed, and aligned with Prospect’s mission.
  • Strengthen and steward relationships with donors,…
