Part-Time Community Support Worker

Become a vital part of The Mustard Seed as a part-time Community Support Worker in Calgary. Engage with diverse community members and assist in vital programs to alleviate poverty and homelessness.

The Mustard Seed is looking for four part-time Community Support Workers to support programs focused on relationship building and resource accessibility. In this role, you will implement crisis intervention strategies, promote healthy lifestyles, and foster connections between participants and services. Your efforts will contribute significantly to creating a welcoming community environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and sign in guests at the community center

• Build meaningful relationships with stakeholders and community members

• Assist participants in accessing essential services and programs

• Conduct program evaluations with guests when needed

• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred

• Experience working with vulnerable groups like the homeless

• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills

• Excellent communication with diverse individuals

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
