Position: Shelter Support Role at The Mustard Seed
Work with Calgary Women’s Shelter as a Housing Focused Shelter Worker. Empower women by providing critical support and access to essential housing resources.

This part-time role at The Mustard Seed is designed for individuals passionate about social initiatives. You will assist women confronting homelessness and connect them with services geared towards sustainable living. Your efforts will not only enhance the shelter environment but also uplift individuals on their paths to stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as an initial point of contact for support seekers

• Quickly respond to clients in crisis, providing aid

• Track client progress via case management tools

• Maintain shelter order and rules courteously

• Empower community members through active listening

Requirements:

• 1 year experience with vulnerable or marginalized groups

• Strong background in communication and emotional resilience

• Skills in case management preferred

• Experience in a volunteer-based setting is a plus

• Must adhere to The Mustard Seed’s mission
